MEDICAL DIRECTOR

  

Type of employment: Contract, Part-Time 


Experience 

  • Medical Director for Kaizen Medical Center, LLC


Responsibilities 

  • The medical director serves healthcare facilities that are AHCA-licensed and in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Regulations: 'In the state of Florida, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) mandates specific administrative responsibilities for Medical Directors overseeing licensed health care clinics. These duties are outlined in Florida Statutes §400.9935 and Florida Administrative Code Rule 59A-33.012". 
  • The medical director role is solely administrative and does not involve supervision of other healthcare provider, including but not limited to Advanced Nurse Practitioner (“ARNP”), Nurse Practitioner (“NP”), or Physician Assistant (“PA”).  
  • The medical director conducts regular monthly healthcare facility inspection visits. 


COLLABORATING PHYSICIAN


Type of Employment: Consultant, Part-Time 


Experience 

  • Chief Physician Family Medicine Residency Program, Larkin Community Hospital: oversight of thirty medical residents and medical students in inpatient setting. 
  • Chief Physician Family Medicine Residency Program, Islamorada Medical Center: oversight of fifteen medical residents and medical students in outpatient setting. 


Responsibilities 

  • Maintain Communication: Ensure ongoing communication with PAs/APRNs/NPs, providing guidance and oversight as necessary. 
  • Chart and Performance Reviews: Periodically assess clinical performance and adherence to established protocols. 
  • Ongoing Evaluation: Monitor patient outcomes and provide guidance on complex cases or when deviations from standard protocols occur. 
  • Compliance with Limits: Adhere to any limitations on the number of PAs/APRNs/NPs a physician may supervise, as specified by the Florida Board of Medicine.
